Flooring We Install in Your Home
Our work is installation, from subfloor prep to the last piece of transition trim. We help you match the floor to the room: tile or luxury vinyl tile where water splashes, carpet where kids sprawl on the floor, hardwood or laminate where you want warmth underfoot. Stairs get their own attention, since every tread is measured and fit by hand. Each service page explains what that floor does well and where it struggles.

Hardwood Flooring
Solid and engineered hardwood installed over properly tested and leveled subfloors, with honest advice on which wood suits your rooms.

Luxury Vinyl Plank
Water-resistant plank flooring that looks like wood, laid over a floor we check and level first so the seams stay tight and the planks stay quiet underfoot.
Tile Flooring
Porcelain and ceramic tile for kitchens, baths, entries and open living areas, set over a slab we check, level and protect against cracking first.
Laminate Flooring
Click-lock laminate installed over a properly flattened, moisture-protected subfloor, with the expansion gaps, trim and door clearances handled before we leave.
Carpet Installation
New carpet and pad for bedrooms, living rooms and family spaces, measured carefully, power-stretched flat and finished cleanly at every doorway.
Carpet Tile
Glue-down carpet squares for playrooms, offices and game rooms, laid on a checked slab with spare tiles left behind for quick swaps.
Luxury Vinyl Tile
Stone and ceramic looks in a softer, warmer vinyl tile, laid over a flat, moisture-checked subfloor in kitchens, baths and entries.
Vinyl Composition Tile
Rigid, budget-friendly VCT for laundry rooms, workshops, playrooms and retro kitchens, laid over a properly prepped and moisture-checked slab.
Stair Flooring
New treads, risers and stair nosing in hardwood, vinyl plank, laminate or carpet, fitted so your stairs match the floors they connect.

How a Flooring Job Runs
Most installs follow the same few steps. Knowing them ahead of time makes the days we're in your home easier to plan around.
- 1
A conversation by phone
Tell us which rooms, what's there now and what you're hoping for. We'll answer early questions and set a time to come measure.
- 2
Measuring and checking the floor
We measure each room, look at the slab or subfloor, check for moisture and note thresholds, stairs and door clearances. Afterward we put the numbers on paper, with materials, prep, removal and labor broken out on their own lines so nothing is lumped together.
- 3
Removal and prep
The old flooring comes up and gets hauled away. We patch, flatten or level the subfloor and let any compound cure. Hardwood and some vinyl products sit in your home for a while first so they can adjust to the indoor air.
- 4
Installation
We lay the floor, undercut door jambs so it slides cleanly beneath them, and finish with transitions and trim. Each morning we tell you which rooms we'll be in that day.
- 5
A final look, room by room
Once the trim is on, we go through each room with you and share what's worth knowing, like how long fresh grout needs before heavy traffic. Scraps get hauled out and the work area gets vacuumed. If anything doesn't sit right with you, tell us while we're still there.
Why Flooring Prices Vary From Home to Home
The flooring itself is only one piece of the number. A small bedroom sitting on a cracked slab can cost more to finish than a bigger room on a flat one. Prep, layout and whatever is already down all play a part, and these are the things we weigh when we write up your estimate.
We measure in your home and give you a written, line-item estimate before anything is scheduled. If something under the old floor changes the plan, we show you and agree on it with you before we go further.
- Square footage and layout
- Open rooms go down faster than a run of closets, hallways and doorways. More cuts mean more labor and a little more waste material to order.
- The floor you choose
- Price ranges widely within each type. Solid hardwood, vinyl plank with a thick wear layer and large-format porcelain tile cost more to buy and take longer to install than basic laminate or carpet.
- What has to come up first
- Carpet and pad lift out in short order. Tile that was set in mortar and old sheet vinyl glued to the slab are slower going, kick up more dust and leave adhesive behind that we scrape or grind away before the new floor can go in.
- Slab and subfloor condition
- Many homes in the area sit on concrete slabs, and shifting clay soil can leave them out of level or cracked. Grinding high spots or pouring self-leveler adds cost, but it keeps planks from flexing and tile from cracking later.
- Stairs and finishing details
- Each stair tread and riser is measured and cut on its own, so stairs are priced per step rather than per square foot. New baseboard, quarter round and transitions between rooms also add to the total.
- Furniture and appliances
- Rooms that are cleared before we arrive save time. If heavy pieces or a refrigerator need moving, mention it on the call so it's in the estimate.

A Flooring Company That Works Close to Home
Flooring Missouri City is a local installer. We put down hardwood, vinyl, tile, laminate and carpet for people in the same community we work in every day, so we care how a floor looks a year after the job, not just on the last afternoon.
We run every job the way we'd want our own house treated: shoe covers on, cords out of the walkway, pets and kids kept clear of the saws, and a quick check-in before we start each day. Small things, but they're what people remember.
If you're replacing worn carpet, tired laminate or tile that's cracked and dated, we'll help you weigh the options honestly, install the floor carefully and leave your home ready to use again.

Questions We Hear Often
Which flooring holds up best to humidity and spills?
Porcelain tile and luxury vinyl plank or tile handle moisture best, which is why we often suggest them for kitchens, baths and laundry rooms. Laminate has improved, but most products still don't like standing water at the seams. Solid hardwood can expand in muggy summers, so we look at where it's going and test moisture before recommending it.
Does my old floor have to come out first?
Not always. Luxury vinyl plank can usually be laid right on top of flat tile that's still bonded tight to the slab, which spares you the tear-out time and dust. Carpet is pulled up every time, and we won't cover anything that's loose, cracked or out of level. Once we've seen the floor in person, we'll tell you which route makes sense.
How long will my home be disrupted?
A single room usually takes a day or two. A whole downstairs in tile can take most of a week once you count removal, leveling and grout curing. You'll get a realistic timeline with your estimate, and we'll keep you posted if anything shifts.
Do I need to move my furniture before you arrive?
It helps a lot if small items, breakables and anything stored in closets are cleared out. Let us know about large furniture when you call, and we'll plan how to handle it so nothing gets scratched.
What if something goes wrong after the install?
Every installation we do comes with a 1-year workmanship warranty. If a seam lifts or a transition works loose in that first year because of how it was put in, give us a ring and we'll come out to see it. The flooring product carries its own manufacturer coverage, and we'll help you find those terms for whatever you pick.
What happens if you find damage under the old floor?
We stop and show you, with photos if you're not home. Soft plywood, old water damage or a cracked slab gets explained in plain terms, along with what it takes to fix it. Nothing extra happens until you agree to it.
Can you match my stairs to my new floor?
In most cases, yes. We can cover stairs with matching treads and risers in hardwood, laminate or vinyl plank, or carpet them to match the bedrooms. Our Stair Flooring page explains the options and what each one involves.
What It's Like to Have Us in Your Home
Letting a crew into your home takes trust. Here is how we try to earn it, whether the job is one bedroom or a whole downstairs.
- 01
Straight answers on materials
If laminate is a poor fit for a bathroom, we say so, even when it would be the easier sale. We explain how each floor handles water, pets and scratches so you choose with the full picture.
- 02
Estimates you can actually read
Your estimate lists flooring, underlayment, prep, trim, removal and haul-off as separate lines. Old floors sometimes hide surprises, like soft plywood or a cracked slab. When that happens, you see it for yourself and we settle on a fix together before any added work begins.
- 03
Your home treated with care
We lay down runners on walkways, protect door frames and keep dust to the work area as much as we can. Tools stay organized, and we sweep and vacuum at the end of each day so you can still live in the house.
- 04
The subfloor gets checked first
Many problems in older installs trace back to what was underneath: a slab that was never flattened, or a squeaky plywood seam left alone. We check flatness and moisture before anything goes down and fix what needs fixing.
- 05
The same people from start to finish
You talk to us when you first call, and you talk to us after the floor is down. If a transition strip loosens or something looks off later, call the same number and we'll come take a look.

Let's Talk About Your Floors
Tell us which rooms you're thinking about and what bothers you about the floor you have now. We'll walk you through the options and set a time to come measure.
